Petronella Wyatt, who worked as a consultant on the Netflix documentary 'Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich', described her encounters with Glislaine Maxwell in the 1990s. The 54-year-old British journalist said that Maxwell tried to lure her into sexual acts.

In an interview with Daily Mail, Wyatt said that Maxwell's assistant called her up one afternoon asking if she would dine with Donald Trump in a London restaurant. When inquired as to who else would be there, she was answered, "You and a few other girls." This was Maxwell's second attempt to pressure Wyatt, as per the journalist. Not long before the call, Wyatt had accepted Maxwell’s invitation to visit Bill Clinton in his hotel suite with a companion. Wyatt declined both invites but was not startled by the offers.

In the Netflix documentary, Wyatt reveals that Maxwell was the most overtly sexual woman she ever met and had an insatiable appetite. In the 1980s, Maxwell and Wyatt had their first encounter in a posh Italian eatery in Knightsbridge. Maxwell owned a club called the Kit Kat for It Girls with intelligence and was invited to all the top parties. She frequently made appearances in tabloid gossip sections and at chic nightclubs like Tramp and Annabel's. Later on, Wyatt ran with her again at a summer party hosted by a mutual friend a year after their initial encounter. Maxwell asked Wyatt, "Have you ever had lesbian sex?" in the same manner as one would discuss the weather. She enjoyed shocking people, so Wyatt questioned if she was asking her seriously or just making fun of her. “'Do you? Because if you do, I’m having a party next week,” Maxwell added.

Maxwell had a lot of boyfriends, yet she had an androgynous appeal. Wyatt doubted if Maxwell did favor men over women but didn't want to find out. She had a shadowy smile on her face. But it took Wyatt some time to work up the resolve to say no because of the dictatorial look on Maxwell’s face. She shrugged when Wyatt said that and then looked at a well-known publisher. They both kept running into each other at dinners, book signings and clubs after that. There was usually a swarm around Maxwell thanks to her vivacity, Wyatt informed Daily Mail. Maxwell was not timid and radiated confidence all the time while she tried to talk Wyatt into singing at a tycoon's party. She went on to publicly announce Wyatt’s "impending performance" as the British journalist made an effort to get to a point of anonymity.

Who is Petronella Wyatt?

Petronella Wyatt is a British journalist and author who goes by the nickname ‘Petsy’ among her close relatives and friends. She is the daughter of Veronica Banszky von Ambroz, Lord Woodrow Wyatt's fourth wife, and the former Labour MP.

Wyatt enrolled in Oxford University's history program but left before the end of her first term, citing harassment because of her support for conservatism and her father's role as an adviser to Margaret Thatcher. She relocated to University College London, where she later graduated and joined The Sunday Telegraph as a trainee journalist. Since the 1990s, Wyatt has been a journalist, holding positions at the Spectator and the Daily Mail as a features writer. Wyatt is not married, but was once engaged to Austrian tennis player Johannes Muehlenburg and is known to date former British Prime Minister David Cameron.
