Peter Nygard's two sons claim he got sex worker girlfriend to rape them during their teens to make 'men of them'
According to a new lawsuit, fashion mogul Peter Nygard hired his girlfriend, a “known sex worker,” to rape two of his teen sons because he wanted the woman to “make a man” out of one of them. The complaint in question was filed against the businessman, who has been accused of a decades-long sex-trafficking scheme by at least 10 women. The Manhattan federal court filing stated that his sons — who were not identified — were also victims of the same scheme. “Hopefully my experience will help other people be able to speak the truth about what’s happened to them,” the older of the two sons said in an interview with CBC News.
Nygard has seven sons. The two who have been mentioned in the court filing were allegedly raped by the same woman 14 years apart. Both the incidents took place at their father’s properties. The older of the sons stated in the lawsuit that he was sexually abused when he was 15 years old in 2004 at Nygard's Bahamas residence. He added in the interview that “shame” was attached to the incident and there was “very little understanding” at the time that it was a form of sexual assault. “It’s one of those things that when you look back at it, I see the pattern of it — that it happened with my younger brother — that’s when it struck me,” he told CBC News.
The younger brother claimed that his father “lured, enticed and transported” him from California to the family’s residence in Winnipeg, Canada, where he was raped in 2018. He was was 14 years old at the time and Nygard said that he wanted to “make a man” of the son. In Canada, the legal age for consent in 16. The sons are being represented by the same firm that launched the class-action suit against their father. The pair are seeking an unspecified amount of damages for the trauma suffered at the hands of their father. The woman who carried out the alleged abuse was Nygard's girlfriend who was a “fulltime sex worker". She was paid with Nygard's company money to assault the teens, it was reported.
The older of the two sons said that he hoped that his and his brother's suffering can lend some support to the female accusers who claimed that the fashion giant lured them to his Bahamas estate with promises of cash and modeling opportunities before sexually assaulting them and making them fulfill depraved fetishes. “It’s about backing up the other people who are being called liars,” the older son told CBC. “I’m hopeful that through this lawsuit or the other lawsuits there will be some truth served because I don’t feel like anyone should get away with this type of behavior and abuse."
Nygard has denied the sex trafficking accusations against him. A spokesperson said that he also denied the fresh allegations brought on by two of his sons against him. "The complaint filed by two John Does is complete without merit and repeats previous inaccurate accounts purely to raise salacious material,” the spokesperson said. "The allegations are vehemently denied. The complaint is yet another effort filled with falsehoods in a manufactured campaign and calculated conspiracy designed to destroy Peter Nygard."
