HBO Max is set to bring the second season of 'Perfect Life' (Vida Perfecta) to screens and comedy lovers should have their sights set on this show. The Spanish comedy series follows three women in their thirties as they navigate life and what it throws at them together.

The women have each other back as they struggle making for a wholesome and real watch. The first season of the show was released on Movistar+ with HBO Max later coming on board to bring the first and upcoming season to larger audiences. Read on to know what to expect from Season 2 of the series.

What is 'Perfect Life' (Vida Perfecta) Season 2 about

The second season starts six months after the end of season one where Maria, finds out that her drunken rendezvous with a mentally incapacitated gardener has left her pregnant. Motherhood isn't what she expected as we see her return the baby in a box in the official trailer. Meanwhile, Christina and her partner are seen discussing having an open relationship and wanting to be more sexually adventurous as Esther deals with her fear of commitment as a possibility of marriage shows itself. Like Season 1 the second season will delve into the evolving relationships and real-life challenges facing protagonist Maria and those closest to her. Showrunner Leticia Dolera will also explore topics like anxiety, the expectations of motherhood, disabilities, and post-partum depression in the new season.

Who are the stars

Leticia Dolera as Maria

Leticia Dolera is a Spanish actress. She began her foray into the acting business with the series 'Al salir de clase' where she portrayed Angela for 2 years from 2000. From there, her career trajectory began looking up with films like 'Un café en cualquier esquina' (Man Push Cart), a film that received three nominations at the Independent Spirit Awards. She is best known for her part in the 'REC' horror series and as Carmen in the British series 'Mad Dogs'. She will be returning as the lead in 'Perfect Life' (Vida Perfecta).



 

The rest of the cast includes Aixa Villagrán as Esther, Celia Freijeiro as Christina and Enric Auquer as Gari. 

Showrunners

Just like the first season, Season 2 of 'Perfect Life' (Vida Perfecta) is written and directed by rising star Leticia Dolera who stars in int as well. She will be joined by Manuel Burque on screenwriting duties. Along with them, two of Spain's promising young filmmakers Lucía Alemany and Irene Moray each direct one episode.
