Colorado pedophile doctor clicked nude pics of child patients and uploaded them online, gets 23 years in prison
DENVER, COLORADO: A pedophile doctor has been awarded 23 years in jail after he pleaded guilty to the production of child pornography. Dr Justin Neisler came under police suspicion in 2018 after the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received information, which claimed he was uploading child pornography to a social media website. While sentencing him on Tuesday, September 22, a federal judge told him: “You put your hands on those kids.” During the sentencing, one of the victims of the doctor and his mother were also present in the US District Court in Denver. The boy’s mother said, “I trusted the doctor with my kids… Unfortunately, I had no idea this was happening.” She also claimed that Neisler asked her to leave while he took her son inside for the examination, KCNC-TV reported.
According to reports, Tumblr noticed that someone was uploading graphic content of kids and informed the Colorado Force's internet crimes unit in November 2018. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was also notified about the same. Later in March 2019, Neisler’s home was searched by federal agents, who found child pornography on his mobile phone and several other electronic devices. An analysis by FBI stated that the convicted criminal possessed nearly 6,600 still images and 1,725 videos of child pornography. Most of them he had got from the internet, but it was not clear how many he produced himself, The Sun reported. While his home was being searched, Neisler admitted to the investigators that he took videos of the medical examination secretly while his underage patients were naked. He said that to record the kids, he used a spy pen camera and his iPhone, and claimed to use them only for his own sexual gratification. It was found that the children’s videos were not sold or distributed. “I intentionally and repeatedly violated the sacred trust of my patients and their families. I desecrated my oath to do no harm,” a tearful Neisler told the court. While prosecutors dubbed him as a “predator and pedophile not someone who made a mistake.”
FBI Denver special agent in charge Michael Schneider said: “Knowing that Mr. Neisler will serve the next 23 years in federal prison, ensures there is one less predator victimizing the most innocent and vulnerable members of our community. Our community is a lot safer as a result of today’s sentencing.” In addition to the jail term for more than two decades, the doctor has also been asked to pay $10,100 in assessments to the court and into funds set up to help victims of child exploitation crimes. Neisler’s medical license has been suspended for now, but it is expected that it will be cancelled soon.
In another incident, a wealthy pedophile who took nude photos of a 15-year-old girl and sexually abused her was convicted on September 18. 53-year-old William Wellington Hooper was convicted on charges of conspiracy to produce child pornography, production of child pornography, and coercion and enticement of a child. After the conviction, Hooper now faces a mandatory prison term of 15 years to life. He is scheduled to be sentenced in February 2021. The Mathews County Sheriff’s Office said: “We would like to acknowledge justice for the victims... who cooperated with information which was paramount in ridding this community of a dangerous predator.”
