Virginia pedo who took nude pics of teen and had oral sex told her they're for modeling after girl's mom sold her
MATHEWS COUNTY, VIRGINIA: A wealthy yacht owner, who allegedly took nude photos of a teenage girl and performed sex acts on her after the teen's mother allegedly pimped her out, was convicted on Friday, September 18. William Wellington Hooper was convicted on charges of conspiracy to produce child pornography, production of child pornography, and coercion and enticement of a child.
The 53-year-old faces an inescapable minimum jail term of 15 years to life when he will be sentenced at the start of 2021. “We would like to acknowledge justice for the victims... who cooperated with information which was paramount in ridding this community of a dangerous predator,” the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to court documents, Hooper contacted the 15-year-old girl in April 2019 and lured her by saying he would help her in the modeling industry. After the chat, his co-conspirator, who has been identified as the victim’s mother named Jennifer Mae Hutchens, snapped the pictures of the teenager which also included nudes inside a home in Gloucester. The photographs were then forwarded to Hooper, who is a founder of an oyster business, The Daily Press reported.
Not just that, Hutchens, who pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography in June — also took her daughter to the yacht of Hooper in Mathews County, where the pedophile snapped “numerous” nude pictures of her and also asked her to perform oral sex on him. The victim was given $50 for that, according to the court documents. A news release from a spokesman for the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia stated: “Hutchens, at the request of Hooper, recruited other minor girls to participate in what Hooper called ’teen modeling.' He promised these children, whose families were struggling financially, that they would be compensated.”
Reports stated that in November 2019, Hooper was arrested in La Plata, Maryland, on child pornography accusations before being extradited to Mathews County, where he faced charges in state court. His attorney, before his conviction, reportedly claimed that he was “a victim.” “He has done absolutely nothing wrong. I’ve seen zero evidence that Mr Hooper committed any crime whatsoever,” the attorney added.
Hooper is expected to be sentenced on February 9, 2021, while the victim’s mother will be sentenced on 13 October.
In another incident, a mother was given ten years in jail for letting men rape her nine-year-old old daughter while dressing her up in a Playboy outfit. Between May 2014 and May 2015, the victim, who is now a teenager, was repeatedly sexually abused by “friends” of her mother at her Gold Coast home in Australia. While sentencing the woman in August, Judge David Kent told her, “your conduct was enabling or aiding others to commit sexual acts on the complainant. This is extremely serious offence and... I am not particularly convinced of prospects of rehabilitation.”
Her sentencing came after she was found guilty of five sexual assault charges in March 2020. However, at the time she did not accept the charges and screamed “it's so wrong” and “this didn't even happen”.
