Patricia Arquette's Golden Globe for 'Escape at Dannemora' establishes her versatility in unconventional roles yet again
To call Patricia Arquette a versatile actress, would be an understatement. In the last couple of decades, we have seen her bring some of the most powerful characters to life. Her on-screen avatars have included a cult filmmaker's wife, a thief engaging in a levirate marriage, an American tourist lost in Myanmar amid the 1988 Uprising, an adulterous wife-next-door, and a vulnerable mother.
But 2019 saw Arquette in a totally new avatar on 'Escape at Dannemora' as Joyce 'Tillie' Mitchell - the entitled real-life accomplice of the biggest prison break in recent times. And now, after bagging this year's Golden Globe for best actress in a supporting role for the same, it's safe to conclude she is versatile and convincing even in the most unconventional of roles.
