Spoilers for 'Paranormal Caught on Camera' Season 3 Episode 8

With all the episodes of the series that has aired so far, we felt as though episode 8 titled 'An Ogopogo Sighting and More' was a bit slow. If you are a fan of the show or enjoy watching paranormal investigators approach unprecedented spirits, you almost always expect big scares and obscure findings — this one lacked a bit in the former section.

The episode explored a Canadian lake monster, orbs in California and even spirits of a murdered family in Nevada —- the latter being one of the best cases in the episode. Either way, everything is shocking and many wonder if it's real or not which, eerily speaking, is probably the premise of these sorts of shows. It not only expands your knowledge of otherworldly entities, but also makes you wonder if it's time you believe in spirits?

The first (and best) case titled 'Killer Hitchhiker' explores the idea of a haunted home where ghosts who were murder victims could be asking for help? In November 2019, in Fernley, NV, Patrick McQueary and his cameraman decide to walk into an old abandoned house where it is said that a family of five was murdered by a hitchhiker in the 1900s.

Even after McQueary got a "NO" from the spirit box when he asked if it was safe for them to enter, the duo decides to go in anyway. After capturing what looked like a human hand retreating from a basement window and an SLS camera shots of ghostly stick figures either fending off someone or asking for help, the duo came to the conclusion that the place was indeed haunted.

Now, while this may seem intimidating, apparently, McQueary had no fear — he was just "excited and anxious." Kudos to him, because as experts said that if it were ghosts, they would be freaked out.

Another case that caught our attention was titled 'Ghostly Gunfire' where John Turner, an investigator, decides to explore the backyard of a gentleman in October 2019 in Staunton VA. The backyard was a battleground during the civil war where there was a four-year horrific struggle that ended in 620,000 fallen soldiers.

With the owner of the property claiming to have seen things out of the ordinary, Turner checked it out only to hear riveting gunshots — with no obvious guns of course — from different directions in that backyard between 30 seconds and a minute. What is more interesting is that Dan Sturges, a paranormal Investigator, explains this to be a possible "residual phenomenon" where the experiences that occurred in 1864 resulted in energies being absorbed on that battlefield.

The above two would have to be our favorite cases from the episode, but without fail, there was a sea monster episode and yes even a UFO — again. It's hard to believe that a UFO would be considered paranormal or even be part of a paranormal production, but we have to say those are our least favorite cases. Like we had mentioned, this was a bit of a slow episode, but enjoyable nonetheless.

We also have to mention that the experts on the show are not only well versed but also indulge in information, whether about folklore or spirit connection, that seems to be more gripping (at times) then the actual footage. When they too are stumped or believe that a place is being haunted, that's when things get a tad bit eerie.

'Paranormal Caught on Camera' airs on Sundays at 9 pm ET on the Travel Channel.
