Paradise Levy: Amber alert canceled after 8-month-old found as hunt for father Terry Aries Levy continues
CLAY COUNTY, FLORIDA: An Amber Alert that was issued for an eight-month-old Florida girl, Paradise Levy, was canceled after she was found safe hours after going missing. Authorities said that Paradise was taken by her biological father, Terry Levy, at approximately 4:30 pm on Thursday, February 16.
Terry, who does not have custody of Paradise, reportedly fled on foot from the Stonehill Way area in Clay, according to 104.5 WOKV. Following this, Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified and K-9 units were dispatched. Terry got a ride to Jacksonville at 8:34 pm. CCSO received tips from community members that the child was on Shelton Road. Jacksonville Sheriff's Office then located the child, who was safely dropped off with family members.

Suspect on the loose
In a Facebook post, Clay County Sheriff's Office, Florida, initially wrote, "AMBER ALERT - #CCSOFL is attempting to locate Paradise Levy (an 8-month-old black female). The suspect is her father, Terry Aries Levy, a black male who left on foot in the area of 1309 Stoneyhill Way around 4:00 pm today (02/16/2023). It's believed he caught a ride to Youngerman Circle and Blanding Blvd. in Jacksonville, FL, where he was last seen wearing a pink long-sleeve shirt and blue jean pants. If you have information on this suspect’s whereabouts, contact the Sheriff’s office immediatee",
Updating the information, they later wrote, "Paradise Levy has been located safely by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. We are still actively looking for Terry Levy, who is wanted on charges of Interference With Child Custody."
'Terry is a career offender'
"Terry is a career offender,” said the sheriff, according to Click Orlando. “He has a violent criminal history. And if anybody knows where Terry is, please do not confront him. Please call 911 immediately so that we can get him into custody.”
