'Woke logic': Outrage as Rep Jamaal Bowman says Tyre Nichols 'killed by white supremacy' after 5 Black cops beat him
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: Rep. Jamaal Bowman has caused a social media uproar after allegedly stating Tyre Nichols who was fatally beaten by five Black police officers was "killed by white supremacy" and "America." Following Nichls's the five Memphis officers were sacked and charged with second-degree murder.
"Tyre Nichols should be alive today. Instead, like so many others he was killed by police. Killed by white supremacy. Killed by America," read the campaign email sent Monday on behalf of the New York Democrat. "This is Black terror," the email said. "We feel it everyday. We feel it more today," reported New York Post. Demetrius Haley, Tadarrius Bean, Desmond Mills Jr., Emmitt Martin III and Justin Smith appear to thrash a hapless Nichols on January 7, during a traffic stop.

'This kind of white supremacy is not just about skin color!'
Furthermore, Bowman added Nichols’ death is the result of an "operating system" that dehumanizes Black people, stating "We cannot maintain this status quo." "Police brutality happens in New York, in Memphis, in Los Angeles, in cities across the country, small towns across the country, and throughout American history," the message read. "At the root of it is the dehumanization of Black people, people of color, and particularly Black men. This kind of white supremacy is not just about skin color, however: it’s about ideology. It’s the operating system on which too much of our society is based."
"We need my fellow members of Congress and President Biden to provide historic leadership on this issue. We cannot maintain this status quo," the email stated. "We must lead for Black lives and lead for Black humanity," said Bowman who recently reintroduced the African American History Act in both the House and the Senate. He claimed it will increase awareness about "African American history through a social justice and anti-bias lens."
'Real racism right here!'
Internet users were furious with the constant supremacy blame game. One user wrote, "this is an example of the hatred industry in action!" Another chimed, "This is true. I stubbed my toe early and I knew it was due to white supremacy and racism." A third wrote, "Real racism right here." Fourth added, "What happened was terrible this just beyond terrible. Bad chops period. No supremacy of any kind here. They were black cops. Terrible cops, that’s it." "Omg this is getting so pathetic! So when are we just going to segregate already?! Coexistence doesn’t seem to be working out very well anymore," read a tweet. A user joked, "I'm certain it was due to global warming."
