'Outmatched' Episode 5: Mike's reaction to Marc's museum crush on a painting amuses fans
Spoiler alert for 'Outmatched' Season 1
This episode of 'Outmatched' brought a hilarious take on dating when Cay (Maggie Lawson) and Mike's (Jason Biggs) daughter Nicole (Ashley Boettcher) bring a 'playboy' home and their son Marc (Jack Stanton) is attracted to a parody painting.
'Outmatched' has become a Thursday night favorite, and we have to admit that the show hilariously portrays how it would be to parent genius children. When kids tell their parents about their crushes, we would most likely expect the crush to be a human, but in Marc's case, it's an inanimate object. As his father tries to understand his genius son, he finds it hard to comprehend that his son's crush is a parody painting with a piece of ham in it.
Mike goes above and beyond to support his son with this odd crush, and what ensues is a hilarious set of visits to the museum that houses the painting, and fans were genuinely amused. "Mike talking to the painting I can’t deal HAHA #outmatched@OutmatchedFOX," tweeted a fan referring to when Mike decides to try to understand his son and talk to the painting as though it were a real person.
"I think this might have been Mike’s first visit to a museum. #Outmatched," tweeted another fan referring to how uncomfortable Mike was but him indulging his son was too sweet, may we add." Mike rating the painting tho #outmatched@OutmatchedFOX," tweeted another fan, and you should watch the episode to figure out what that number was. We agree with him though! "In hopes of turning himself into a genius as well. He decides to go to the museum. #Outmatched," tweeted another fan.
Towards the end, when the entire family comes to see Marc's crush, the painting is not there anymore, and fans loved the reaction when Cay stared at the replacement abs on the wall. "@maggielawson’s character’s reaction to the replacement painting at the end—hilarious. #Outmatched," tweeted another fan. This family is definitely a unique one, and we're not complaining - it makes for great comedy!
Outmatched airs Thursdays at 7:30 pm CST on Fox.
