LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix recently released season 3 of their original series 'Outer Banks', and it has managed to offer some memorable moments including the resurrection of John B's father Big John, leading to a nice reunion between the two Johns.

However, the biggest moment of the season came from the finale, where fans saw a shocking twist of events that resulted in the death of Ward Cameron. This led to speculations about the new Big Bad of the upcoming season of 'Outer Banks'. The cast of the show includes Chase Stokes as John B Routledge, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kiara Carrera, JD as Pope Heyward, Rudy Pankow as JJ Maybank, Drew Starkey as Rafe Cameron and Charles EstenWard Cameron. The death of Ward Cameron

The season finale of 'Outer Banks' saw the death of Ward Cameron. Ward has been one of the most powerful antagonists of the series so far. Behind the fake nice exterior, Ward hides his real murderous and manipulative personality. He killed Big John for his mission to take up all the gold for himself. His extreme measures to find the whole treasure of gold make him neglect his own kids in the process. Ward is seen faking his death in season 2, in an attempt to 'mend his family'. However, in season 3, the death of Ward is made permanent. While Ward still attempts to bring his daughter Sarah together, he takes three bullets to his chest while attempting to save Sarah's life. Ward is shot by Rayan, the head of security of Carlos Singh. Ward's tragic end came when he pushed himself along with Rayan off the cliff. Though this move from Ward came as a surprise, his death poses a burning question. Who will take on the mantel of being the main antagonist in Season 4?

Rafe Cameron as the next 'Big Bad'

Rafe Cameron is probably the most plausible choice as the next antagonist. Rafe is one of the characters from Season 1, and his arc stands as a strong proof of why he should step into the big bad shoes. Rafe is the eldest son of Ward and the big brother to Sarah and Wheezie. At the beginning of the series, Rafe is seen having a troubled relationship with his father and struggling with drug addiction. Rafe is desperate to get approval from his father and in one of his attempts, he goes to the extent of killing Sheriff Peterkin, while trying to avoid his father from getting arrested. Ward's death will only further trigger him to avenge the death of his father. As Rafe did not witness his father's death, he would be turning his anger towards the Pogues and would go to any extent to make them pay for his death - making him the forerunner as the main antagonist in season 4 of 'Outer Banks'.

Season 3 of 'Outer Banks' is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
