Oscars going hostless might not be the worst idea despite the 'embarrassment' caused by the 1989 award show

Soon, there was an uproar about how the Academy is biased towards male celebrities. There were also claims that hosts do not want to undergo the stress and scrutiny that comes with the job. Others believed that a hostless Oscar would offer a better platform for more creative ideas to make the show entertaining for those attending in person and even viewers sitting at home.
