The grand crossover event is almost upon us, Chihards!

The 'One Chicago' crossover event is less than a day away and the good gods of the 'Chicago' franchise have decided to gift us with not one, but two sneak peeks of the biggest crossover to come in the 'Chicago' franchise. The outline for the episodes of 'Chicago Fire', 'Chicago Med', 'Chicago P.D.' was planned by Derek Haas, who wrote the episode for 'Fire', while Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider wrote for 'Med', and Rick Eid wrote for 'Chicago P.D.'. The viewing order for just this night is a little different: 'Fire' and 'Med' have swapped places, so the crossover event will begin with the 'Fire' episode, followed by 'Med' and ending with 'P.D.'.

The first sneak peek is courtesy of TV Guide, and looks like it could be from the opening moments of the crossover night. We've got members from 'Fire', 'Med' and 'P.D.' at a Bears game when a man collapses in the middle of the crowd. As they try to help him, Dr. Natalie Manning uncovers his leg and discovers a gruesome wound. The man says "BRT" as he falls unconscious.

In the second sneak peek courtesy of Entertainment Tonight, they are at a hospital with Dr. Will Halstead explaining to everyone that the pathology reports indicate that the man is affected by flesh-eating bacteria. Detective Jay Halstead says he cannot open a case unless a crime has been committed, but he will run the man's prints to figure out who our John Doe is. Casey also reminded that the man said "BRT" but they don't think much of it yet.

However, we think "BRT" is a clue for what comes next. BRT stands for Bus Rapid Transit, which is a bus-based public transport system designed to improve capacity and reliability relative to a conventional bus system. This could be a clue to what happens next according to the trailer: the act of biological terrorism. It is possible whoever is responsible has devised a way to spread the flesh-eating bacteria in a mass and efficient way. John Doe was probably affected when he came across this plot and was infected as a result.

We will not have to wait long to see! The 'One Chicago' crossover event will air this Wednesday night on NBC.
