Shirley Wright-Johnson, a mother of two, was the unfortunate customer to discover the evidence at the grocery store. She was shopping for pizza rolls at Crest Foods and reached inside the freezer to grab a bag of the same. "I felt something smushy on the bag, so I turned it over, and there it was," she told KFOR. The feces was actually hidden in plain sight under the bag of pizza rolls. Wright-Johnson shockingly ended up with feces all over her hands. "I was so disgusted I was almost in tears," the woman added.
After frantically informing the store employees, the shopper scrubbed her hands clean but the discovery was revolting enough to ruin her day. “I bleached my hand, I disinfected my hand,” she mentioned, adding that none of these helped in deterring the smell. Meanwhile, her children were repelled by the odor as well, as they kept on saying, "Mom, I can smell it. I can smell it," all the way to their home.
The police later found in the surveillance camera footage that the supect was also clicking photos of women in the grocery store. He left the supermarket shortly after committing the heinous act. The cops put out a photo of him from the footage and sought the help of the local community to locate him. The man was later apprehended with the help of an off-duty police officer and vigilant community members. “The investigative findings will be provided to the Cleveland County District Attorneys Office for review and filing of charges, at which time the identity of the subject may be provided,” the police have stated.
