What started off as one of the most promising series finally ended fulfilling the expectations of every 'Star Wars' fan. 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' ended its six-episode run by bidding a fitting adieu to one of the more iconic Jedi knights. Chapter 6 had copious doses of action sprinkled with enough drama making the ending that much sweeter. While the last ten minutes of the show were all about how the series connects to the movies that follow the series, it ties up storylines that were unexplained.

Darth Vader's (Hayden Christensen) vulnerability is on full display after he duels with a revitalized and motivated Obi (Ewan McGregor) even though he does get the upper hand. In the end, while the fight ends with a stalemate, it's safe to say that Obi did lose after he realizes that his actions in 'Revenge of the Sith' might have just cost him a friend, or better put, family.

The finale begins with Reva (Ingram) expectedly in Tatooine as she searches for Owen and Luke Skywalker. Meanwhile, Darth Vader and the Empire are in hot pursuit of Obi-Wan and the rest of the survivors. The latter decides to end his struggle and face Vader once and for all and escapes on a drop-ship which the dark lord chases. The duo faces off on a desolate planet and even as the two cross lightsabers, Reva engages Owen and Beru to get to Luke. What makes 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' a more emotional show is the bond that Anakin and Obi share which is severed after they finally end their skirmish.

The master is shocked when he calls him Anakin only for his friend to say that "this is what remains" of him. It's an emotional sequence that sees Obi realize that his old buddy and family are really gone, and he leaves broken-hearted even as Vader screams for revenge. This one is for 'Star Wars' fans, and makes for a worthwhile watch.

'Obi-Wan Kenobi' is available for streaming on Disney+.
