DETROIT, MICHIGAN: Three rappers who were scheduled to perform at Lounge 31 in the city's Regent Park neighborhood on January 21, 2023, have been reported missing after the performance they were heading to was canceled. The missing men are identified as Armani Kelly, 28 of Oscoda, Montoya Givens, 31 of Detroit, and Dante Wicker, 31 of Melvindale.
As reported by CNN, Michael McGinnis of the Detroit Police Department's major crimes unit said, "It's our understanding that the performance got canceled, and from there -- we just have a whole lot of unanswered questions that we are trying to find out." McGinnis further added that all of their phones "stopped having activity" by the early morning hours of January 22.

Armani Kelly first one to be reported missing
Authorities informed that Kelly, whose stage name is Marley Whoop, was first reported missing to Oscoda police on January 22 after his mother Lorrie Kemp hadn't heard from him. "The mother of one of the victims, the next day, made a report of the missing person. That mother became very proactive in the investigation and started searching for her son's vehicle through OnStar,” McGinnis said. The mother found the car in Warren, Michigan, from where the authorities recovered it on January 23. By January 27, information about Kelly’s disappearance spread throughout the media. McGinnis said, "Once that happens, other family members of the other missings come to realize that that's a friend of their loved ones and they haven't seen them either, so then they both get reported missing." Kelly’s mother has posted flyers all around Lansing, where Kelly grew up, in an attempt to find her son. She said, “I don’t want to be on ‘Dateline’ in 20 years to find his body.”
The now 10-day search has become a multi-agency investigation involving police departments in Detroit, Oscoda, Melvindale, and Warren. "The fact that the three of them are missing together is very concerning and very alarming for us," said McGinnis, as stated by Yahoo!. He added, "We want to find them and get them home to their loved ones. Really think about the victims' families in this case, they have no answers. They don't know where their loved one is. We need help. If somebody knows something, we're asking please call and share that information with us," reports CNN.
'Maybe the cancel show was just a hoax'
The news of three rappers missing together now has baffled people, with one Reddit user writing, “It's strange that they know there was no cell phone activity but they didn't locate the cell phones. My first thought was auto accident but if they found the car within 36-48 hours of them going missing I'm not sure what the other possibilities are. Kidnapping? Not to suggest gang activity when none is brought up, but how else do three adult men essentially disappear together for 10 days, with their automobile not being a part of their disappearance?"
A Twitter user said, "This is sad. We know if their phones are not pinging, not going to end well." While one of many suggested, "Maybe the cancel show was just a hoax to get them at location!!" One more commented, "Either they're dead/kidnapped or the club got swinged hard."
