The human race seems to have extraordinarily evolved. In times when people have finally begun looking past physical attributes and identifying as sapiosexuals, a Florida resident falls on the spectrum of loving inanimate objects instead of living beings. 24-year-old Noorul Mahjabeen Hassan who prefers to go by the name 'Fractal Database' says he's "objectum sexual". In an interview with the Sun, the young man said objects have the capability to engage him "romantically, emotionally, and sometimes sexually." In fact, he was due to marry the popular arcade game Tetris until last year.

It might sound shocking but Hassan isn't the only one who is attracted to objects. Broadly known as objectophilia, the term refers to people with the ability to develop strong romantic bonds with objects or structures. In 2017, Carol Santa Fe made headlines for getting married to a train station in California with which she fell in love at 9 years of age. In 2018, Britisher Amanda Liberty got engaged to a 91-year-old chandelier and then proceeded to get a tattoo of her "fiance" 'Lumiere' on her arm. After the tattoo was complete, she said, "Lumiere also thought it was brilliant, she gave me the energy telling me it was great. She tells me when she doesn't like things but she really likes the tattoo." Liberty said it was love at first sight when she saw Lumiere on eBay

Attraction to objects is not a 'fetish': Fractal Database

The outlet reports, Hassan tried to explore relationships with human beings a couple of times before the "tech nerd" figured out what he truly wanted. "I tried to like humans but I have zero attraction towards them and it's just never worked out for me," Fractal said before revealing that he realized he was objectum sexual at age 14. Hassan stresses that his attraction is quite normal and not a fetish. It finds its roots in the ancient belief of "animism" which is an idea that "all objects, concepts, and everything that exists has a soul or has some sort of consciousness attached to it." Hassan also said his attraction to things doesn't come from a place of trauma.

"While I do take the consciousness aspect of my objects with a grain of salt, I do like to give my object the benefit of the doubt because they have got me through a lot. A lot of people like to think that I'm objectum sexual because of trauma or something, but it's like, no I've always been this way since I was four. It started with a crush on a character from the cartoon the Brave Little Toaster, who was this giant computer guy," Hassan added while also revealing at some point during the interview that his first love was a multi-meter he called Dave.

Fractal enjoyed sexual encounters with Tetris-themed objects

Hassan said he fell for Dave after developing a "weird thing for measurement" which over the time has transformed into "a thing for data in general". After Dave, he felt romantic towards other objects including an oscilloscope he called Braxton. He then fell in love with the puzzle game Tetris sometime in the summer of 2016. Hassan fell too much, too hard, to a point that he filled up his home with Tetris memorabilia. He spent more than 12 hours every day playing the arcade game online, on his phone, and Gameboy before hitting the sack with a Tetris pillow and enjoying sexual encounters with Tetris-themed objects.

"I fell in love with Tetris because I was super into math and I realize now that a lot of my attraction was towards geometric shapes and the idea of fitting shapes together in a neat and precise manner," he said. "I found the shapes really sexy. It's beautiful and really stimulated my mind. For a long time, it was all I could think about. I was going through a tough time in my personal life at the time and Tetris really helped me through it," said the University of Central Florida student.

Fractal broke up with 'asexual' Tetris and pursued his crush IKEA

Fractal claims his relationship with Tetris couldn't continue despite him considering marrying the game last year. He claimed the breakup came after he allegedly discovered that Tetris was not sexually interested in him. "I had to stop having sex with Tetris because he revealed to me that he was a-sexual," Fractal said. "I had to break up with him because I respected him too much and didn't want to make him uncomfortable." On being asked how Tetris communicated his sexuality to him, Fractal said, "I believe in the spiritual sense that I can communicate with his energy - it's a telepathic thing. It's based on the feeling and emotion that you get from the object, as you would a human."

Fractal didn't reel over the loss of his relationship with Tetris for too long as he re-realized his childhood crush soon after the breakup and fell "deeply" for the furniture company. "I had a crush on IKEA since I was a kid, to be honest," he said. "I love the idea of the store itself and I love the idea of building the furniture and how everything slots together. I just love the entire looks of the store, with their bold blue coloring and bright yellow letters. It was really nice," he added. "It's a really good store. I loved him a lot." Fractal claimed he had always loved the geometrics of "certain pieces of furniture" but what really attracted him was the concept of IKEA as a whole. He even considered moving to Sweden to work for IKEA corporate. Netherlands which is IKEA's main headquarters was on the cards too before he dropped all those plans in order to study computer science.

Fractal is currently harboring feeling for the C Programming Language (C) that is used to develop applications, games, and graphics. He wants to pursue a career as a machine learning engineer or as a computer scientist for Google. Fractal claims its a no-brainer that he would eventually fall for the big guns which is the world of tech and programming rather than devices, games, and companies. "Everyone that knows me knows that I've always been a tech f**ker. I love data. I've always said y'all can have PornHub, I've got GitHub," Fractal said, referencing the online code hosting platform. "I'm just destined to love tech and not companies. So it was just kind of a natural progression to C Programming Language," Fractal said who currently claims to be two timing C and Google Cloud. Fractal has a Twitter account, he goes by the username 3008 IKEA and his handle is @SCP_3008_3. He claimed to be considering offers by documentary makers who want to feature him in objectum sexual-themed movies, earlier this year.
