LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: JoJo Siwa is returning as a judge for ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Season 18.

On January 26, 2024, Reality Club FOX took to its Instagram page to announce the news of JoJo's comeback on the dance reality show. In the past, Siwa was also a judge on the show’s Season 17 in 2022.

"Our new judge is on POINT! 🤩 @itsjojosiwa is returning to #SYTYCD as a judge for Season 18! Don’t miss the season premiere Monday, March 4 on @foxtv and next day on @hulu!" the caption of the Instagram post read.

However, it looks like the fans aren't happy with Siwa being on the judging panel of 'SYTYCD.'

One social media user wrote, "Umm… respectfully no thank you 🥲."

A user went on to say, "Not as excited to watch now. She was the worst part of the last season."

Another user chimed in, "Well now I am officially not watching."

A user quipped, "Oh God no…. There are SO many other choices… but her?! Come on."

Followed by a user who penned, "Oh noooo don't do it."

A comment read, "I was excited. Now, I just can’t."

Is JoJo Siwa replacing Nigel Lythgoe on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’?

The answer to the above question is a big yes. Siwa is set to replace Nigel Lythgoe on 'So You Think You Can Dance' after he announced his departure from the dance series after facing sexual assault allegations earlier this month.

While having a chat with Variety, Lythgoe talked about his decision and said, "I have informed the producers of So You Think You Can Dance of my decision to step back from participating in this year’s series."

The TV personality further added, "I did so with a heavy heart but entirely voluntarily because this great program has always been about dance and dancers, and that’s where its focus needs to remain. In the meantime, I am dedicating myself to clearing my name and restoring my reputation.”

For the unversed, on December 30, 2023, Paula Abdul accused the former dance judge of sexually assaulting her during their time on 'American Idol' and 'So You Think You Can Dance.'

The sexual assault claims made by Abdul have been denied by Lythgoe.
