LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicolas Cage made a startling revelation that his earliest memory was actually from the time when he was in his mother's womb. The 'Renfield' actor revealed this on 'The Late Show'  while answering rapid-fire questions after he took a quick 'Questionert' from Stephen Colbert.

On being asked about his earlier childhood memory Cage responded that his answer would sound "far out" and said “Let me think. Listen, I know this sounds really far out and I don’t know if it’s real or not, but sometimes I think I can go all the way back to in-utero and feeling like I could see faces in the dark or something."

'I know that sounds powerfully abstract'

He continued, “I know that sounds powerfully abstract, but that somehow seems like maybe it happened.” After that Colbert asked, "To these faces in the dark were other people in there with you?" and the 'Face Off' actor replied by saying, "Now that I am no longer in utero, I would have to imagine it was perhaps vocal vibrations resonating through to me at that stage", as per Variety.

'I don’t even know if I remember being in utero'

Cage further added that “That’s going way back. I don’t know. That comes to mind… I don’t even know if I remember being in utero, but that thought has crossed my mind.” While the audience erupted into laughter, Colbert admitted, “I buy it.” “You’re Nic Cage,” Colbert added. “Who am I to say you don’t remember being in utero?” Cage responded before adding “I don’t even know if I remember being in utero, but that thought has crossed my mind.”

'They say that electricity is forever eternal'

When Colbert inquired about what happens after we pass away, The 'Ghost Rider' actor was also at his best, he said: “Oh, wow. Nobody really knows, I don’t know". “They say that electricity is forever eternal. That the spark keeps going. I like to think whatever spark is animating our bodies, once the body passes on, that the spark continues to go. But whether or not that electricity has consciousness or not, who can really say?" He also revealed that his favorite action movie was 'Bruce Lee Enter the Dragon'

The most recent movie in which Cage starred as Dracula was Universal's 'Renfield', which only made $16 million domestically and $22 million internationally. The horror comedy is one of Universal's few stumbles this year, as the firm has overachieved with a number of 2023 releases, including 'M3GAN' and 'Cocaine Bear'.
