This is the first time she has shown her face while making accusations against the couple. The video, released over the weekend, has been circulating on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube

Nicki Minaj's baby photos might have just been a bid to distract media attention from more unsavory news about the couple. As it has been reported widely, Kenneth Petty was convicted for attempted rape at knifepoint of a sixteen-year-old girl in 1995. Petty served four years in prison, and he was ordered to register as a sex offender in the state of New York.

The alleged victim has spoken up, showing her face on camera for the first time in a video posted on @divah_filez and @noseyheauxlive's Instagram pages. In it, the alleged victim speaks to the camera in tears while driving, asking the celebrity power couple to stop harassing her and her family members.

"This message is for Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty. Tell your f**king people to leave my family alone, okay. Don’t call my f**king family, don’t call my brothers, don’t call anybody. Leave me and my family the f**k alone,” said the woman in the clip which also made its way to YouTube and Twitter.

Earlier this year, Petty was indicted by a grand jury for failure to register as a sex offender in California. Those Los Angeles County charges were later dropped after he was officially added to the California database of sexual offenders, but Petty is still facing federal charges for that criminal infraction and the start date for the trial is February 23

Kenneth Petty's alleged victim gave her side of the story for the first time on November 17, 2020. In an anonymous 13-minute Youtube video, she detailed the assault and also denied that she was in a relationship with Petty at the time. This was contrary to the claims Minaj has made in the past about Petty being “in a relationship” with the alleged victim at the time of the assault. It is to be noted that the New York State sex offender registry lists Petty’s “Relationship to Victim” as “None Reported" for the case.

In this anonymous video, the alleged victim had also said that even though 26 years had passed since the rape, she was reliving her trauma. "In March of 2020, I got a call from a mutual friend of Kenneth and my brother, and he said that he could connect me to them and make this go away. When he said he could connect me to them, meaning Nicki and Kenny, and when he said he could make this go away, I thought the agreement was going to be: if I don’t speak to anybody about them they wouldn’t speak to anybody about me. End of story. Well, that’s not what happened,” stated the woman.

She added, "What happened was this mutual person offered me $20,000 to write a letter stating that I lied about Kenny assaulting me. I didn’t want to do it. I got a phone call from Nicki Minaj herself saying she got word that I was willing to help them out in this [failing to register as a sex offender] situation… She said that she could send her publicist, Joe, out to where I was living at the time… After that phone call with Nicki, the only contact I had was from street goons."

The alleged harassment seems to have continued if the most recent video released over the weekend is true. But there is yet no solid confirmation about whether the woman making these claims against Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty is really the victim of the 1995 sexual assault case in New York City.

In addition, no other evidence exists of alleged acts of harassment, threats, or bribery by the celebrity couple except this video (and the earlier anonymous one) that has been trending on Twitter with #SurvivingthePettys as its hashtag.

One user wrote: "So @NICKIMINAJ and #kennethpetty are still harassing his rape victim to recant her story about Kenneth petty raping her....... Protect black women, don’t let stan Twitter dismantle their your moral!!! #Survivingthepettys", while another tweet said: "Nicki lied. The victim is mixed race. She wasn't in a relationship with Kenny. Her mother didn't tell her to press charges because she wasn't raised by her mother. Kenneth wasn't 15 he was 16. The same age as the victim. He r*ped her. #SurvivingThePettys".

Another user pointed out a possible reason why the couple was trying to get the alleged victim to recant her statement. "Kenneth Petty could go to jail on February 23 for failing to register as a sex offender & now they are harassing the victim to say she lied to save his ass from going back to jail".

Neither Minaj, nor Petty, have publically spoken about these allegations.
