NHL 2020: Pittsburgh Penguins out of playoffs after 2-0 loss to Canadiens, fans want coach Mike Sullivan fired
It wasn't a happy end to the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL campaign this season. They suffered another loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Friday that saw them eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs race. The Penguins lost 2-0 and could only watch back in bitter disappointment as the Canadiens advanced to the next round. It wasn't a surprise that Penguins fans took to social media and roasted the team for their dismal performance. They demanded a string of changes before the team would take the field again.
"Jack johnson, Justin Schultz & Patrick Marleau should have played their last games as penguins. there is nothing but room for improvement with their replacements," one of the fans opined.

"Overall poor performance. Price had NO WORK today. He sat back there and took a nap. Give me a break with the empty platitudes and hollow words. Losing 9 of last 10 playoff games says it all," wrote one of the disappointed fans.

The call to fire coach Mike Sullivan wasn't far away either. He came under heavy criticism for the sort of gameplay throughout the season. "Fire Mike Sullivan. You can’t play you’re best player for less than 20 minutes in an elimination game and expect to win," a fan said.

One fan considered changing bases, "Absolutely disgraceful performance. In all my years as a fan of this team, I have never seen a group of players so lazy and pathetic. I’m taking my fanhood to Philadelphia where it looks they know how to run a hockey team."

More opinions just followed: "Something is just wrong. Pandemic...but, to lose to the worst team in the playoffs. Inexcusable. Either the chemistry is wrong or the Coaching has lost it. Honestly..Jarry should be the goalie. Murray will acquire 2 quality players. Malkin should be moved. Letang, too. Truth."

Truth.
Here's one that sums up their frustrations. "I literally can’t do this. ship Sullivan to the moon and start rebuilding. it’s pathetic that we look great in the regular season WITH NO ONE, and once we hit the playoffs at practically full strength, we choke to a team that can’t even carry our bags into the building. f**k this"
