Newsmax host Greg Kelly told his audience that he spent the last weekend in Florida and even golfed with former President Donald Trump on Sunday. “I can’t go into too many details because it was off the record," Kelly said on his Newsmax show on Monday. "President Trump, spent some time with him yesterday on the golf course and can tell you this. His spirits are high, he looks great and he’s on top of everything, everything. This guy does not look like he’s retired. Maybe someday I can tell you a few more details.” The popular news anchor also added that Trump is a fan of the network and also of Grant Stinchfield, another Newsmax host.

Kelly, a former Marine, has been a fan of Trump for the longest time, often admitting to his audiences that he likes the 45th POTUS "in style, as well as in substance."

The day after a violent mob of rioters breached the U.S. Capitol, the Newsmax star directed his ire at President-elect Joe Biden. "Sometimes, sometimes the bank robber gets away with it," Kelly fumed. "Joe Biden stole the election. You know it. I know it. Tens of millions of Americans agree with us." "Donald Trump should not concede because he didn't lose," he continued. "But we do recognize this, that come noon on Jan. 20th, Donald Trump will no longer be the president. Because Joe Biden got away with it."

In December, Kelly asserted in a series of tweets that Trump 'didn't lose' the 2020 election, even floating a "Term-2" for the former POTUS by giving suggestions on the next cabinet formation. "Damn STRAIGHT. We need TRUMP. NO ONE ELSE would ever, could ever, stand up to the CORRUPT SWAMP like TRUMP. FOUR MORE YEARS. NOT OVER," Kelly tweeted on December 26 as a response to a Trump tweet issued the same day criticizing the Supreme Court for being "totally incompetent and weak on the massive Election Fraud that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election."

So sure was Kelly that Trump would get a second term that he even gave suggestions for cabinet formation. "The Cabinet Room. In Term 2–no more 'coaxing' anyone out of 'retirement.' Every 'SECRETARY' who needed to be 'wooed' into Government is a Disaster. Either you Want to Serve or you don't. You either have the skills or not. If you 'don't want to be here' we don't want you!" Kelly wrote the following day.

The conservative sensation later tweeted, "Thing is... he didn't lose" alongside an image of a New York Post cover photo stating that Trump had lost the election. And in a follow-up tweet, Kelly wrote, "DR SCOTT ATLAS FOR SURGEON GENERAL IN TERM 2," referring to the former President's coronavirus special adviser who raised eyebrows after saying that face masks did not do much to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Newsmax has been able to siphon off a sizeable amount of conservative media viewers since Election Day. According to Newsweek, the outlet may become an influential channel for Trump supporters in his post-presidential years.
