HOUSTON, TEXAS: An 84-year-old woman, Pearl Radcliff was found unconscious on a sidewalk two days after she went missing in Texas along with her dog, Maximus by her side, who she adopted nine days before the incident, according to a post by Texas Center for the Missing.

Pearl Radcliff's nephew, Dawne Griffith, who had been searching for the 84-year-old in her neighborhood, got the call on Friday afternoon, two days after the elderly went missing that she had been found and was at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, according to the station.

The Texas Center for the Missing and the Houston Police Department shared a Facebook post on September 8, in which the center wrote it had, "CANCELLED a Houston Regional Silver Alert on behalf of the Houston Police Department for Pearl Radcliff" after the woman was located. The post shared that Radcliff, who is living with "memory loss/dementia," was discovered "safe."

"THEY FOUND HER!! This is the moment Pearl’s nephew got the phone call! @KHOU," KHOU 11 reporter, Janelle Bludau tweeted a video.

Authorities informed Radcliff's family that when the elderly was missing, she wasn't alone but her dog, a black lab mix named Maximus, who she adopted a few days ago before the incident and was also missing, was right by her side when she was found.

Janelle Bludau, KHOU 11 reporter shared more about the loyal pup, "Also, side note on her pup Maximus," Bludau wrote Friday on Twitter along with a photo of Radcliff and her dog. "Pearl had just adopted him NINE days ago. And even being with her only a few days, the pup was so loyal — he stayed by her side the entire time. The family is picking him up from animal control tomorrow, and they're never letting him go!"

As per KHOU 11, EquuSearch (an organization that provides volunteers to help search for missing persons) volunteers were on their way to assist with search efforts for Radcliff before Griffith received the excellent news.

The Texas station added that "After getting a chance to visit with Pearl, Dawne said she's doing well, but doesn't remember much of what happened. He said the family is now looking for better ways to keep her safe."
