Investigation into the shooting is ongoing
A person claiming to work at the San Juan Regional Medical Center described on Facebook the moment an injured officer was brought to the facility. "I know, we saw the first police cars come in and one pulled an officer out of the back seat and dragged them inside. The ambulance entrance is right by my window. Many ambulances came in and out. Several ems personnel hugging and crying. The whole hospital is on lockdown. Made me very sad," the person wrote.
Though some lockdowns were lifted, Apache and McKinley elementary schools, CATE Center and Central Kitchen remained locked down on Monday afternoon. The San Juan Regional Medical Center where victims are treated for injuries was also placed under lockdown.
