"They appear to be random, someone was involved with an accident here on Central, a person just came up and said they were stabbed. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason at this point," APD's Gilbert Gallegos said on Sunday.

"He was talking crazy, he was angry about something," one man who was allegedly held up by the suspect told the Albuquerque Journal. Stabbings are very prevalent in the cities of United States. On August 27, 2020, a lady named Margery Magill, 27, was brutally attacked while walking her dog in Washington, DC, in one of these random stabbing incidents. According to the authorities, the woman was the victim of a random attack. Magill, a California native, was spending the summer in Washington, D.C. She was stabbed numerous times and bled to death on the sidewalk at 9 p.m. that night. According to authorities, the attacker, Eliyas Aregahegne, 24, chose Magill at random when she was walking a dog for a family who had hired her using the Rover app. Eliyas Aregahegne, who is now in detention, is charged with first-degree murder while armed.
