'Multiple' victims in Melbourne shooting outside nightclub: Police
Reports are coming in of a shooting outise a nightclub in the Australian city of Melbourne.
According to initial police reports there are “multiple” victims, although local media are eporting that no one has died.
“Investigators believe multiple people were shot outside a nightclub near Little Chapel Street and Malvern Road about 3.20am,” the Victoria Police said in a statement.
The incident, which occurred in Melbourne’s Prahran district outside a venue near Little Chapel Street and Malvern Road at about 3.20am on Sunday, has reportedly left three to four people injured, and two in critical condition.
“The exact circumstances are still being established,” police said.
A security guard suffered a gunshot wound to the face in what was believed to be a drive-by shooting outside the Love Machine nightclub, which had promised a Saturday night of “old school grooves”, according to it’s Facebook page.
Australian media reports the shooting took place in what was believed to be a stolen Porsche Cayenne.
