'New Amsterdam' Season 2 Episode 2: Reynolds takes a leap of faith at work but fans are still confused between Evie and Bloom

With the fate of Helen (Freeman Agyeman), and Bloom (Janet Montgomery) having been revealed in the very first episode of New Amsterdam's Season 2, there is much to look forward to, for these two characters. We know that Helen's personal life is going to be intertwined with that of Max (Ryan Eggold), but a romantic relationship may only bloom much later. And, despite out surety of this, Bloom's romantic future remains a large question mark, especially since Reynolds (Jocko Sims) is still in a very happy, healthy relationship with Evie (Margot Bingham).

In the upcoming episode, we will see Reynolds take a leap at work, but unfortunately things do not go his way. But as far as we know him, he is very capable of pulling himself out of any trouble, especially with his ever so helpful colleagues and friends by his side.

However, what we are worried about, is his personal life, especially we can't seem to make up our mind about who would make the best partner for him. While Evie is a brilliant, black woman who fits Reynolds' idea of who his wife should be, Bloom knows him in a way even he doesn't. Even though Bloom promised Evie that she has nothing to worry about, we see a future for Bloom and Reynolds.

As a black man who had had to beat many odds to become the head of the surgical department at the prestigious New Amsterdam, Reynolds has a very strict code of conduct. He also has very strong opinions about what he can give back to the world - by hiring women of color in his department, deciding early on that the woman he marries will be black, and giving a seemingly arrogant intern a shot at proving himself worthy of being a part of New Amsterdam.

We want the best for Reynolds, but we are still divided over what that is when it comes to Bloom and Evie. We will hopefully get to see his romantic life unfold a bit more when Season 2 Episode 2 of 'New Amsterdam' premieres on Tuesday, October 1.
