Season 2 of ‘Outer Banks’ is finally streaming on Netflix and fans are absolutely loving the adventure John B and the gang is embarking on this time around. The first edition of the teen drama was a massive success because of its stunning visuals and engaging storyline.

The first season ended on a dramatic cliffhanger and everyone wanted to know if John B and Sarah survived the giant wave or not. Fortunately, Season 2 starts by revealing that they did survive the wave and have taken refuge in a ship that will take them to Nassau, Bahamas, which was their destination as well. The entire season is filled with enthralling sequences and entertaining moments. That’s why the show became so popular in the first place. Even with less logic, the show managed to captivate the minds of viewers.

John B and Sarah embark on a journey to find gold, but Ward won’t let them. He does everything to make them realize that following him to the Bahamas was a mistake. But how does the adventure end for them? Did they survive? Or one of the characters lost their lives in the hunt for gold. Let’s find out.

'Outer Banks' Season 2 Ending Explained

During the season finale, Rafe and his family board a ship bound for an island near Guadeloupe. They have given a drug to Sarah and take her with them as well. However, John is up to the task and comes along with his friends to get on the ship and hide in the shipping container. Luckily, they found Cleo among the crew of the ship and she helps them in rescuing Sarah and get the cross back.

With Eberhimi freeing Ward, Ward goes after Sarah who tells Ward that she’s not going with him. Ward finally understands, “she’s not one of us and she never will be”. Ward tries to kill Sarah by strangulating her, but John B appears there miraculously to save her. He was very close to killing Ward and Sarah also permitted him to throw him off the boat, but he doesn’t do it and they jump into a lifeboat. Deciding that if he can’t have the cross, no one should, Pope drops the cross into the ocean.

During the final moments of the season, Ward is being treated for his injuries. The medic tells Rafe that his father will be okay and he promises his dad that Sarah and John will be brought back to him. Meanwhile, the Pogues, along with Cleo, reach land, they embrace the Pogue Life.

With Episode 10 of Season 2 concluding in Bridgeport, Barbados, Carla walks inside a small house. Having received a letter about the shroud, an individual wants to help her find it, but only if she helps his son. And to everyone’s surprise, the individual is none other than John B’s father.

The ending is another cliffhanger for the fans and without any doubts, a Season 3 is on the card. Let’s see when the makers announce another season.
