This article contains spoilers for Season 6, Episode 3.

This week on NCIS: New Orleans season 6, aka episode 3, we see Agent Pride battling his hallucinations, while being an excellent detective, cracking down a case from 20 years ago. But that doesn't happen without a bit of help from his daughter, Laurel, whom we see after quite a while, playing the attractive woman as a bait card effortlessly.

Not exactly a bait, but Laurel's beauty does prove to be an excellent catalyst in her father, Pride, restoring the faith of the NYPD in his investigation. This week's story involves the mysterious disappearance of one Ashley Griffin, who was then found murdered next to the baseball bat used to kill her, two decades ago. The case was left open with the prime suspect, Ashley's neighbor Elliot Whitman, and his family threatening to sue the Sherrif's department where Pride was working at the time, as concrete evidence against him wasn't found then. Fortunately, in the present time, an air vent in Whitman's home revealed a box containing Ashley's underwear with her DNA still on it, and it wasn't the only thing in there.

As suspicion against Whitman builds up, Pride is required to visit New York because he was the one initially handling the case. Being in New York calls for a little reunion with his daughter, Laurel, and that seems to be the only silver lining to his otherwise bleak trip shrouded by the gloomy clouds of not being able to get to the bottom of Ashley's murder case. That, and the fact that being in close proximity of Whitman is causing the suspect to lash out as he is still apparently reeling under the 'trauma' of the past also ruins his chances of still being on the case. Also, NYPD detective David Cabrera is adamant about solving the murder himself.

This is where Pride's daughter comes of incredible use, as Cabrera is smitten by her beauty. Apart from Pride's rank as an agent, the prospect of being able to woo Laurel is the only thing that makes Cabrera allow Pride to stick around, and the two form a dynamic duo, partnering on the case until they successfully solve it. And taking notice of this, fans have come out all in support of Laurel's new prospective romance, claiming that Pride should have no qualms about it.

Taking to Twitter, user @Cjscichik32asked the very important question about whether Pride was "Gonna let Laurel date Cabrera?" They backed up the theory claiming the two "kinda click." To that, user @SWheezly replied explaining, "They definitely click, and Laurel is a grown woman. She isn't a baby. As long as she doesn't get hurt, Pride has little say in it." User @cherylacohen chimed in with factual evidence, stating: "Pride has always seemed to like all of her (Laurel's) boyfriends which at times kinda bugged her." So it's official, Laurel and Cabrera are definitely becoming a thing.

'NCIS: New Orleans' season 6 airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm, only on CBS.
