'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 12 Episode 9 Spoilers: Are Callen and Anna engaged and what's Hetty's surprise?
It's a big week for 'NCIS: Los Angeles', because not one but two major characters' fates are left hanging in the episode titled 'A Fait Accompli'. After almost striking a deal with the devil, while Deeks and his wife Kensi's lives are still under her stalker's threats, he was finally accepted into NCIS training by the FLETC. The promo teaser for the upcoming episode shows our boy Deeks not having the best time at training. The official synopsis for the episode even hints at a possible expulsion, but there are more surprises up Hetty's sleeves, none of which could possible help Callen in making the major commitment he is about to.
According to the official synopsis given by CBS for Episode 9, "While NCIS must track down an organized crime leader who is trying to buy stolen defense technology, Callen goes to Anna to ask the ultimate question. Also, Deeks is kicked out of NCIS training only to find that Hetty has a life-changing surprise for him." With Callen going to ask Anna the ultimate question, the team is already one man down. Yet the fact that Callen has decided to sit this one out and prioritize speaking to Anna about his plans sort of hints that the outcome won't be that minor.
Considering how far Callen has come, it look highly unlikely that the showbosses will tease us with him popping the question and being greeted with a disappointment. It's about time Calen and Anna go the Densi way and the show gives us something meatier on that front apart from the usual will-they-wont-they. Looking at the odds, things look in favour of fans of the couple. Callen is not letting Arkady's views about their profession not being cut out for marriage stop him, and by the end of this episode, he and Anna are most likely getting engaged.
But while matters of the heart are helped by a litle bit of courage, that might not be the thing that Deeks needs as he stands on the cusp of being kicked out from training. He already has quite the reputation for being a righteous pain in the a** in the LAPD - will his reputation precede him and cause issues once again? Luckily, he has Hetty on his side, ready with a suprirse. The last time she had surprised him, it was with him getting into NCIS training. Could this time see him getting elevated to some higher rank than just a preliminary freshman agent? We sure hope so!
