It's been an emotional ride for 'NCIS: Los Angeles' fans, with Season 11 reportedly getting cut short thanks to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. But while there's been confirmation on another episode of the CBS procedural arriving, it is quite possible that this is the last we see of fan-favorite crime-solving NCIS couple Agents Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah). The reason? They might follow Nell, and now presumably Eric's path to take some time off and focus on having a baby.

On the latest episode titled 'Knock Down', "The team assists the DOJ in the investigation of an arsonist who targets an FBI safe house that’s protecting a political activist seeking asylum; Eric deals with the aftermath of Nell leaving the team.” But while all this action with the FBI unfolds, we also have a significant Kensi moment that has us wondering if the time is nigh for her on the show.

Ever since the beginning of Season 11, Deeks and Kensi have addressed the topic. They have been trying to have a baby for so long now, it almost breaks fans' hearts to see them trying and failing every single time. While Kensi had the worries of juggling a career as an NCIS agent with motherhood, fans were worried whether Deeks — immature and goofy as he is — was ready to be a father after all.

However, after trying for the longest time, Deeks and Kensi had decided they are ready to have a baby but stopped actively trying for a while — or at least the topic never came up again. Until tonight, when Kensi met up with FBI agent Audrey Rush who recently had a baby.

Rush showed Kensi and her partner for the episode, agent Fatima Namazi, photos of her changing the baby's dirty diaper and feeding him, while also adding that she named the baby 'Cash' as a PSA to all couples, reminding them about the money the baby is going to cost eventually, and also quips about how the baby's nickname is 'the little dictator'.

Funny jokes aside, when Kensi asks in a touching tone what it's like to have a baby and raise a newborn, Rush tells her it's the most rewarding job ever, and something clicks in Kensi. In the recent past, ever since she and Deeks decided they were committed to the idea of having a baby, Kensi's softer more emotional side has come out a lot. But this episode took it to a whole other level, confirming our guesses that maybe it is time.

But if it really is time for the couple to have a baby, Kensi — kickass as she is — might have to consider not being so actively involved in the action-driven job she is a part of. Which could mean the couple — or at least her — taking some time off from the show the way Nell recently has, and Eric is also considering.

Luckily for fans, Eric Christian Olsen — who plays Deeks — has teased that it will be a long time before a Densi baby is on the way, so hopefully, we still have a few good episodes of this season and the next one to come to stay assured that we don't have to bid adieu to one of TV's funniest and most adorable crime-fighting couples ever.

'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 11 airs on Sundays at 8 pm only on CBS.
