Fifth Harmony's Ally Brooke mourns 'Glee' actress Naya Rivera's death, says its a 'very sad day' for all of us
While people are grieving her loss, many are also glad that law enforcement was able to push through the search allowing for Rivera's family to have some closure
As news broke that the body found in Lake Piru was that of 'Glee' actress Naya Rivera, fans, family, castmates and friends of the family took to social media to offer their condolences to the "bright star." Among the celebrities who took to their social media handles to say kind words on this unfortunate news was Fifth Harmony's Ally Brooke.
Rivera is believed to have drowned in the lake following a boating trip with her four-year-old son Josey Hollis Dorsey, who was found safe and asleep in the boat when searchers came looking for the duo. Rivera was loved by many in the industry and had accumulated a lot of fans since her role as Santana Lopez on 'Glee' and many are mourning her loss.
"It is so awful hearing about Naya Rivera. Just awful. What a talent, and beauty — inside and out. I lift her family up in prayer, especially her son Josey. Such a very sad day. May God be with her family. We love you Naya. Rest In Peace," tweeted Brooke. While the internet is a terrifying place, with many ignorant opinions of people calling 'Glee' a cursed show, or wondering why Rivera's body was found on the seventh anniversary of co-star Cory Monteith's death, many chose to ignore those perspectives.
Instead, many took to Twitter and Instagram to post multiple tributes to the actress from her clips as Lopez, to her singing, her love interest scenes with singer Demi Lovato and many others. Many fans took to commenting on Brooke's post with the same sentiment, wondering how a tragic situation like this could have been avoided if there were signs, and how people will always remember Rivera as a "bright-faced beauty."
While people are grieving her loss, many are glad that law enforcement was able to push through the search allowing for Rivera's family to have some closure. According to reports, Rivera's son with ex-husband Ryan Dorsey is healthy and fine, thankfully. Many also praised Rivera as news broke that she had "mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself," according to Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub.
