Drug trafficking charges dropped

While state prosecutors provided sufficient evidence for "a reasonable grand juror to conclude that the sexual assaults occurred," Clark County District Court Judge Carli Kierny, as per the statement issued on Friday, April 7, found there was no substantive testimony linking him to the psilocybin mushrooms investigators discovered in his home. Thus, Kierny dropped the charge of drug trafficking, per Fox News.

Kristy Holston, the public defender, declined to comment on the judge's decision. Early in March, Horse entered a not-guilty plea to the accusations. He was charged with kidnapping, child abuse, lewdness and sexual assault of a juvenile in the indictment.

Prosecutors accused Horse of gaining access to young girls and taking underage wives by pretending to be a medicine man. The said crimes reportedly took place in the early 2000s and across several states, including South Dakota, Montana and Nevada.

Prosecution said that one of the survivors was 14. Horse allegedly told the girl that the ancestors's spirits ordered him to have sex with her. "Her mom is ill and she’s told that her virginity is the only pure part of her left, and she has to sacrifice this to maintain her mom’s health," Clark County prosecutor Stacy Kollins reportedly said in court.

What did cops find in Nathan Chasing Horse's home?

MEAWW earlier reported that when Horse was nabbed, cops found two cell phones filled with images and recordings of young girls being molested during a search in his home. In addition, thery found 41 pounds of marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms and guns.

The actor was charged with child pornography in Nevada's US District Court after police found the footage. He reportedly recorded himself sexually abusing a child and wrote about the abuse in his journal.

In British Columbia, Horse has been charged with rape in a case from 2018. According to a CBS News report, the actor has been charged with one count of severe sexual assault based on a 2005 rape case by prosecutors for the Montana's Fort Peck Tribes.
