LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: 'Dances With Wolves' actor Nathan Chasing Horse was indicted by a grand jury in Nevada on Wednesday, March 1. The 46-year-old faces 19 charges for allegedly sexually abusing and human trafficking Native American women and girls in the US and Canada for decades. He is currently facing new charges in four jurisdictions. However, the disgraced actor has pleaded not guilty to scores of mounting sexual assault charges filed against him.

Nathan allegedly targeted young Indigenous women and young girls through his infamous cult known as The Circle where he hoaxed to have healing powers and communication with higher beings. In fact, Nathan who is also accused of being the cult leader groomed young girls whom he sexually assaulted and recorded the abuse. Prosecutors on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana heard testimonies from two women who accused the former actor of sexual assault.

Victims testimony against Nathan Chasing Horse

Both the women claim they met 'Dances With Wolves' actor through Native Lakota ceremonies. One of the victims who is now 27, claims she was introduced to Nathan by her mom when she was only three or four years old. The unidentified woman claims in 2012 one of Nathan's primary helpers talked to her about sex, and two years later he sexually assaulted her. Nathan who also went by the name 'Medcine man' blamed the "spirits" or "grandfathers" for his actions, according to The Sun

Moreover, another victim, now 25, claims she met the former actor when she was six or seven. The woman's mother was seeking help for a spider bite. Years later, when the woman, then 14, met with the "medicine man" for a healing ceremony for her mother in Las Vegas, Nathan took her to a dark closet and sexually abused her. She added her perpetrator allegedly gave her a pill to take which she believes was a "Plan B." Additionally, prosecutors accuse Nathan of sexually assaulting a victim in 2005. They claim Nathan groomed young girls to replace his five older wives.

'Dead man walking'

Interent users were furious after Nathan pleaded not guilty to his alleged crimes. One user wrote on Twitter, "DEAD MAN WALKING." Another user tweeted, "Throw away his key." "I hope he rots in prison," said a Facebook user. Another user commented on Facebook trying to rally support for the victims saying: "The victims should not be outnumbered. we have to do better getting more people out to support the victims and more numbers outraged when he appears in court."
