Nash Carter has been released by WWE following his wife's domestic violence allegation

Nash Carter, tag-team champion in NXT, has been released from WWE on Wednesday, April 6, following domestic violence and emotional abuse allegations by his wife Kimber Lee. Initially, the information regarding WWE releasing Carter was confirmed by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp via a tweet.

His tweet read, "I'm working to confirm, but I've been told that Nash Carter has been released by WWE."

Who is Kimber Lee?

The 31-year-old, also a wrestler, is currently signed to Impact Wrestling. She claims she has proof to support her abuse allegation. Sharing an image of her with marks on her face, the wrestler said that she had lived with the abuse for a year but not anymore.

"Hey @WWENXT this is my face after your tag champ @NashCarterWWE got wasted and hit me so hard he split my lip open. He told me I’m a wrestler so I’m always marked up. I’ve hid this for a year and even forgave him. But I can’t hide it anymore," she captioned the tweet.

This was followed by another tweet where Lee shared an image of Carter. It was captioned, "Just another look into the kind of person @NashCarterWWE is….@WWENXT @wwe I’ve hid so much for so long because I was so mentally abused. Not to mention the countless anti LGBTQIA+ statements him and his family make….."

However, seems like fans of Nash aren't buying Lee's story as one of the fighters Queen E Marie replied to Lee asking, "There are two sides to every story @Kimber_Lee90 From what I heard, you were in fact the one that was drunk and tried to go after Nash but instead, hit your face on a car door cause you were wobbling everywhere. Are you ready to tell people the whole, REAL truth Kim?"

Another user suggested she seek help from the police. "Maybe go to local authorities instead of trying to end someone's career on social media. It's like going to someone's work place and trying to get them fired," the user said.

Four days ago, at NXT’s 'Stand & Deliver', Carter and partner Wes Lee won the WWE developmental promotion’s tag-team titles by defeating Imperium and The Creed Brothers in a triple-threat match. Nash, 27, had been signed to WWE since late 2020.
