Tennis star Naomi Osaka reportedly blocked journalist Megyn Kelly on Twitter following a heated row about the former latest swimsuit photos. Osaka had recently appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2021 photos and shared an album on her social media. While the stunning photoshoot was hailed by thousands, a few chose to shade the 23-year-old Japanese for the revealing photos. Among her critics was political commentator Clay Travis, who reminded everyone about Osaka's refusal to attend the mandatory press conference at the Roland-Garros French Open. "Since saying she's too introverted to talk to the media after tennis matches, Naomi Osaka has launched a reality show, a Barbie, and now is on the cover of the SI swimsuit issue," Travis tweeted.

The tweet was shared by journalist Megyn Kelly, who continued slamming Osaka by adding, "Let's not forget the cover of (& interview in) Vogue Japan and Time Mag!" Osaka, who happened to be the first Haitian and Japanese woman to be featured on Sports Illustrated cover, clapped back at Kelly. She tweeted, "Seeing as you're a journalist I would've assumed you would take the time to research what the lead times are for magazines, if you did that you would've found out I shot all of my covers last year. Instead your first reaction is to hop on here and spew negativity, do better Megan."

Soon afterward, Kelly was apparently blocked by Osaka, as she tweeted, "Poor @naomiosaka blocked me while taking a shot at me (guess she’s only tough on the courts). She is apparently arguing that she shot her many covers b/4 publicly claiming she was too socially anxious to deal w/press. Truth is she just doesn’t like Qs she can’t control. Admit it."

Osaka's fans dragged Megyn Kelly on social media, who called her out for 'racism'. Her critics even went to the extent of dubbing her a 'grifter'.

"Hey Megyn Kelly, I get you are trying to stay relevant by being outraged because @naomiosaka rightfully blocked your a**. But, if you are so against blocking, ask some of your right-wing pundit friends to unblock me so I can continue to call out their proganda," tweeted US Army veteran and former Trump supporter David Weissman.

Former presidential candidate Joe Walsh wrote, "Wait: Megyn Kelly is accusing ⁦@naomiosaka⁩ of not being “tough enough” because Naomi blocked her on Twitter? Smh. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s been blocked by Megyn." MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin tweeted, "Megyn Kelly is a heinous, awful human." "This is a really weird way for a woman your age to act," slammed Erin from The Daily Beast. One user asked, "Why does Megyn Kelly love harassing women of color?"
