House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday, February 18 that the House Energy and Commerce Committee will be looking to investigate the root causes of the winter storm power outages that have shaken the of Texas to its core. Pelosi told reporters, "I believe that the Energy and Commerce Committee will be taking up some form of, when I say, investigation, I mean, a look in to see how things could have turned out better and will turn out better in the future."
She continued, "My daughter's home has no water, pipes are breaking all over because of the cold. Again, they can handle it, but a lot of people can't. For my family, it's one thing. But for people who don't have so many options it just heartbreaking. It's a question of needing water and food and energy and vaccines and the rest. We really have to be on top of that and hope that there would be some preparation for the future."

Who is Jacqueline Kenneally?
Jacqueline Kenneally is Nancy Pelosi's daughter and doesn't have a career in politics. According to an article in the Sun, she owns and serves as the studio teacher at ArtMix Studio. Along with her husband Michael Kenneally, she has raised three sons.
Pelosi has five children. Alexandra Pelosi, the Emmy-nominated journalist, documentary filmmaker, and writer, is married to Dutch journalist and lawyer Michiel Vos in 2005 and the pair have two kids.
