BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA: Eerie footage caught on a surveillance camera shows a mysterious man armed with a machete knocking on the door of a family home in Florida in what is thought to be a series of bizarre appearances in the neighborhood. The unknown man appears very well-dressed in formal wear and is seen around with his machete, tapping the entrance door.

Footage of the incident that has left nearby residents alarmed was accessed by WSVN. In the video, a bald man is seen walking up to the house in Lauderhill before leaning and knocking on the door with his weapon at 5.30 am. He wears square-rimmed spectacles, a formal shirt, and trousers with a necktie.

Residents of the area are now wary and rightfully frightened due to the mystery surrounding the armed man. "I see some random dude knocking on the door with the back of a machete," said a resident, reports the New York Post. He revealed that the unknown man "disappears as quick as he came." A woman who lives there expressed her concern. "It’s so mysterious that we have no idea whatsoever of his intent," she said.

As it turns out, this is not the first house that the man has approached. The same bald, bespectacled man had earlier knocked on the front door of another house. "They saw the same thing that they went up to their front door, the same way, and did the same thing. I think they were driving around," said the woman to the outlet, adding that he "didn’t seem like someone lost or confused. He seemed very intentional, very business-like, like he was dressed for business, just with a machete."

Police patrolling in the region has increased. The authorities have also urged the residents to keep a close check on their cameras in case something of use were to be captured. Recalling the chilling incident, a male resident said, "I just hope somebody knows who the person is. That way we have peace of mind of what happens or — we don’t want the person coming again, right?" The woman, who spoke to the media outlet revealed that foremost, she was worried for the safety of her 4-year-old child. "I’m suddenly a lot more concerned and just with him getting out of the car, you know, myself," said the woman, with the man joining in with a statement that the uninvited visitor has now prompted them to check their cameras more often.
