One of Dr. Bradley 'Brad' Schaeffer's patients, Michele Caputo, has died. She had signed up to get her hammer toe fixed on 'My Feet Are Killing Me'. "It feels ugly," the patient said while describing the terrible pain from her bony bump that started to bother her when she was just four. All she ever wanted to do was to paint her toes, dress up, and go around the neighborhood without having to worry about judgment coming her way. Unfortunately, fate had other plans.

TLC paid a humble tribute to Michele after the episode ended, which left the show's fans in shock. Most couldn't come to terms with her sudden passing and it didn't help that there was no mention of what caused her death. Naturally, there was a section that was puzzled and equally curious to find out how she had died. Some speculated it was COVID, a few thought it was cancer. Either way, the reason for her death continues to be a mystery.

But fans are a resilient bunch, they don't give up easily. While hunting for reasons, a few pointed to a Go Fund Me page that was created on November 23, 2020, by Michele's son Nick. Titled 'Michele Caputo Cremation Expenses', the page had raised over $3,000.

"Ohhh no :(. My heart goes out to Ms. Caputo’s family :(. #MYFeetAreKillingMe," one commented, while another shared: "I’ve been trying to Google her name to see if her obituary or something was posted. I’m so curious what happened. She was so young and seemed healthy."

"I wonder what happened as well. Very sad. She had the black nail polish in her toes right?" a fan asked. "Wonder if it was Covid," one user wondered.

"Saw the “in memory of” at the end of the episode. What happened? Such a shame. GOD Rest Her Soul. Condolences to her family and friends," a fan posted on TLC's Facebook page, to which another replied: "So sad she passed away. She was so happy. I found an obituary and it said cancer." "I was so happy when he decided to do both. She didn't even get to enjoy her feet very long," a viewer expressed.
