'My Feet Are Killing Me': Dr Brad surprised by Bill's bizarre foot care home remedy
When it comes to issues with one's feet, something seemingly innocent as dry skin is often treated at home. Between pedicures, scrubs and lotion, dealing with dry skin is relatively standard. But sometimes, the situation gets so bad that it's best to ditch all the weird home remedies and go straight to the experts.
Throughout 'My Feet Are Killing Me', there is a little the doctors haven't dealt with. From webbed feet, Proteus Syndrome and even potentially cancerous growths, they've seen it all. In this episode, Dr Brad treated a father-son duo, where the former had an unconventional way to deal with his foot problems.

Dr Brad noted that he'd seen all sorts of odd foot care remedies over the years when it comes to foot care. But on this episode, he came across the most unique one yet. Dr Brad met with a father-son duo, Bill and Liam Mallie, who currently suffer from the same issue -- they both have tough skin on the sole of their feet.
For Bill, the problem began when he was around 5 or 6 years old. Liam started to develop scaly feet at the tender age of 1 year old. When they both sat down with Dr Brad, Bill explained that he had tried every trick in the book to help fix his feet, including peeing on them.
Dr Brad was both amused and confused. As Bill explained it, he'd pee on his sock, then wear said sock, bag the foot in a plastic bag, and go to bed. Dr Brad definitely hadn't heard anything of that sort before and assured Bill and Liam that he had a much more lasting solution. He explained that they essentially had extreme callouses and fissures on their feet.
Foot fissures are cracks on the skin of the foot that causes the dead skin to build up. Dr Brad's solution was to scrap Bill's feet down as much as he could and then, with a dermal, shave the skin down until he reached healthy skin. The aftercare for this issue was to follow it up with lotion and creams.
When it came to Liam's feat, Dr Brad noted that Bill had passed down the same problem to his son. But, since Liam was getting it treated earlier on, it was easier to tackle. The treatment was the exact same. Seeing that their feet looked far healthier, both Liam and Bill were grateful to have healthy-looking feet!
