Kotaro Lives Alone (2022-present)

Originally created as a Manga written and illustrated by Mami Tsumura. This Manga adaptation into a Netflix animated series is a story about a 4-5 year old main protagonist Kotaro, who lives alone in a run-down building next to a manga artist Shin Karino. Although the series shows us the journey of Kotaro as a kid, who enrolls himself in a Kindergarden and lives alone, the series takes you through a tunnel of dark jokes, sarcasm, and reality. 'Kotaro Lives Alone' is strange, entertaining, and unexpectedly wholesome.

Over the course of four parts, the troupe explores Dreamland and other neighboring lands and uncovers thier a mythical conspiracy along with their own internal problems.
BoJack Horseman (2014 - 2020)

One of the most saddest, honest and funniest series - BoJack Horsemen takes a deeper dive in the life of a washed-up actor who has one chance at rejuvenation, that is if he doesn't fuck up. The series is a microscopic view of the Hollywood culture. The series examines about personal responsibility, trauma-responses, and how we hurt we love because of our childhood experiences.
The series got added in this list because of its beutifully imagined world of humans co-existing with animals in a weird but funny way. Kudos to the imagination of lead designer/executive producer Lisa Hanawalt.
