'My 600-lb Life' is undoubtedly among one of the biggest hits on reality television since it first started airing almost nine years ago. Over the past eight seasons, a number of morbidly obese patients have found their way back to fitness with the help and support from Dr Younan Nowrazadan — popularly known as Dr Now among the cast and the audience.

After gaining much popularity, Dr Now is now a fan favorite, especially for his hard-hitting advice and observations that he doles out to patients with a straight face. For instance, last week's season nine premiere episode featured fetish model Samantha Mason and Dr Now asked her to stop eating. He even went as far as to say that "she'd be good if she didn't eat for the next four years" because she's already consumed all the food needed to survive for that period. Ouch!

Those sarcastic jibes from Dr Now draw one too many cheers from his ever-growing fandom!

However, recent allegations that surfaced on social media against him might change your perspective.

In the Season nine premiere, it was clear Samantha just couldn't bring herself to stop eating. Shockingly, she even took up a job on the dark web where she got paid to eat. That was her last resort as no regular employers would hire her because of her size. She found it incredibly tough to reach her goal so that she could be cleared for surgery and Dr. Now stepped in to help save her life with emergency surgery.

Thanks to him, she did lose a considerable amount of weight. However, after her episode aired, Samantha took to social media to allege that things were not as they appeared to be on the show.

A Redditor shared an alleged screenshot of her Facebook status where she very subtly mentioned that her experience on the show was terrible. "So I am pretty sure this is going to happen on the 31st. Most people I know don’t even watch the abomination that is this show, but if you do, and you happen to see me…that is, in fact, me," she began. She continued saying that she is about to write an expose about the scandal and will detail what she went through on the show but that's in the future. She also added that everything one sees on the show should not be taken seriously. "I am 400 pounds down and will NEVER watch 'reality' tv the same again," she continued.

"I also want to say, I found my own surgeons and I've never been in the same state as Dr Nowzarden (sic). I was exploited without even the help from the surgeon himself (which is fine — I like my surgeon lots better)," she concluded.

What is the truth behind her scandalous expose? Is she telling the truth? Well, only time will tell. For now, there's a huge debate going on that post. "Tbh the only gross things I've ever seen people saying about her on Reddit are on the feeder subs. They're big mad that she decided to lose weight," one user wrote and another said, "If she’s on the show, how can she claim to never have even been in the same state as Dr Now?"

A third wondered, "Maybe Dr Now dismissed her before she even went to Houston and she found a local surgeon?" And a fourth added, "I actually don’t think it’s the show that made her lose weight because when her episode was supposed to air (May/June) she was heavier than when she first started filming."
