When it comes to surviving in the wild, experts Ray Livingston and Donny Dust are no strangers to the matter. For them, survival skills are a piece of cake! Be it building a shelter with wood, leaves, or just about anything that they get their hands on to make do for a decent two man's stay, the men are sure to deliver! What's more, all of Dust's weaponry to get prey in the wild are all handmade. See it to believe it, on USA Network. Until then, read on to know more about how the duo gets their daily protein.

When you're living amidst acres of green forests and wild animals, it's quite difficult to plan your meals. In the dynamic duo's case, it's usually Dust who takes the lead in the meal prep plan. It sure does help that he's the head instructor at his own establishment, a school called Paleo Tracks Survival, where he encourages individuals to be one with nature and trains them in primitive survival skills. Surely, he must be the Gordon Ramsay of the wild!
Having said that, the first episode of 'Mud, Sweat, and Beards' saw the men set up camp in The Bayou, a swamp in Louisiana. While Dust's gut with fauna and flora is at its highest, he discusses the same with Ray, who then follows Dust's advice to capture a wild rodent and the likes of it for meat, locusts, and other edible insects for protein, and the numerous kinds of fish they have at their disposal. While Ray uses his trusted bow and arrow to hunt, Dust takes to his handmade spears. Either way, the men get the deed done and make sure to put food on the table.
What's remarkable is Dust's cooking style. He almost always never makes it seem like they're dining in the wilderness; it looks like an extravagant barbeque, with appetizers, sides, and the main course.
Where will the best friends journey to next? What new challenges will they face now? Stay tuned!
