'16 and Pregnant': Fans slam Kash for not getting restraining order after 'piece of s***' Nate smashed her car
Kashmonyae Harris's episode of '16 and Pregnant' aired on Tuesday, November 10, night. People who've been following this limited series have already seen the journeys of teen mothers: Madison Beith, Madisen Everheart, Rachelle Perez and Camryn Fields. Kash's episode was touted as the most explosive ones from this series. The teaser featured Kash's on-again-off-again boyfriend Nate's strange attitude towards her while she worried about him not being able to handle his temper issues.
Nate acknowledged that he had anger issues and that he could snap unpredictably. He was raised by his mother, and while growing up, he didn't have a male role model. He used this as an explanation about why he was the way he was. His mother had sent him off from Arizona to Los Angeles to stay with his uncle after he put a hole through the wall and passed out on the floor during a fight they had. Speaking to his cousin, Nate said it was difficult staying away from Kash as he didn't want to make her feel like he was abandoning her. Unlike what his father had done with him, he didn't want to repeat the same thing with his unborn daughter who they'd already named Nova. As he came back to Arizona for their baby shower, Kash was really excited to see him and all her feelings for him came back. However, he began having an incident after the shower, he was snapping for no reason at her, and at one point she began crying and that's when he stopped.
Kash's water broke a couple of days later and she was at the hospital giving birth. However, Nate's constant cribbing about lack of sleep was getting out of hand. Kash gave birth to Nova and after coming back home, broke up with him. He'd snapped at her back at the hospital as her IV bag emptied and started beeping, disrupting his sleep. Kash didn't appreciate how she was treated when she was giving birth and decided she didn't want to be with Nate after that. He couldn't take the rejection well and after incessant texts begging to be taken back didn't work, he showed up at Kash's house and smashed her car. She called the police after that, however, she didn't get a restraining order as they'd not be able to co-parent Nova for anywhere between 1-5 years.
Fans were really unimpressed with her for keeping her cool in such a situation given she now was responsible for her and well as Nova's safety. "Nate is a piece of sh*t!! Ew. Sis drop him. #16AndPregnant," wrote a fan. "I could care less about the co-parenting because if he’s going to get mad at a machine beeping while you in labor. Imagine how he’s going to act when the baby cries. #16AndPregnant," tweeted another. "Kash is young and dumb(sorry, it’s true) Sadly she gonna learn a hard lesson before she finally wakes up. Praying for her and Nova sakes, she listens to her Nana. #16andpregnant," read another tweet. "Girl if you don’t file a restraining order right away and protect you and your baby #16andpregnant," wrote another fan.
