MrBeast: Giveaway Pop-Up Scam

Recently, a scam has been circulating on the internet, claiming to offer a chance to win $1000 from MrBeast. The scam takes the form of a pop-up ad that appears on different websites, including social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. The ad includes an avatar photo of MrBeast and a message claiming that he is giving away $1000 to the first 1000 people who click on the link and follow the instructions.

Unfortunately, the link leads to a page that is designed to steal the personal information of the users. The scam page may ask for details such as name, address, phone number, email address, credit card, and password.

In order to safeguard the fans of MrBeast, one of the members on Twitter, @persianracers, tweeted, "Someone is advertising on YouTube making people think that he is @MrBeast  or one of his channels. He is claiming that he is giving away 1000 USD Be careful."

Scammer's Benefits from Giveaway

The scammers may generate revenue by directing traffic to their web page. And they may also earn money through selling to other criminals and advertising. The website may also have premium fake subscription plans, which come under paid services.

You can protect yourself by ignoring the strange links that ask for personal information. You can check the URL and make sure the website is legitimate. If you come across a suspicious ad or website, report it to the relevant authorities. This would be a big help in preventing others from falling victim to the scam.
