What happened to Alexa Randolph? Missing West Virginia woman's body found in car trunk at Walmart parking lot
MORGANTOWN, WEST VIRGINIA: The body of a woman who was reported missing last week, has been found inside a car located at a Walmart parking lot in West Virginia. Alexa Randolph was reported missing on Thursday, January 28 night after she could not be reached and her white 2018 Ford Escape could not be located either, according to a press release from the Morgantown Police Department. She was last seen at around 2:45 pm that day at her Morgantown home. On Friday, January 29, afternoon, officers who working on her disappearance, discovered her car parked at a Walmart on Hornbeck Road.
The authorities stated that the mother-of-one was found dead "in the cargo area of the vehicle." The cause of her death has not been released yet. Officers are now investigating Randolph's death as a homicide, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office.
The post posted by the officers read: "On January 29th, 2021, Morgantown Police Detectives located the body of Alexa M. Randolph, 32, of Morgantown in her vehicle at the Hornbeck Road Wal-Mart in Monongalia County. Alexa M. Randolph was previously reported as a missing person to the Morgantown Police Department on January 28th, 2021. Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office Detectives will assume the lead in this investigation to avoid jurisdiction issues with any possible leads, suspects and evidence that may be outside of the Morgantown City limits. This case is being investigated as a homicide and the integrity of the investigation will dictate future releases of information."
