A lot has been going on with Mnet’s survival show that features dance crews. ‘Steet Woman Fighter’, popularly known as ‘Swoopa’, is a dance survival show featuring eight dance crews who vie for the winning title. The show has been gaining a lot of attention from fans all over the world and especially in South Korea with not just contestants and fans but K-pop Idols performing some of the dance routines on the show.

The contestant NO:ZE from the crew Way B had her ‘Hey Mama’ choreography go viral making her a sensation over the last couple of weeks including a fun performance from Seventeen’s Seungkwan with SHINee’s Key dancing in the back. Now with the survival show coming to an end and its finale approaching real soon, fans of the show are not willing to let it go. The show announced that it will have offline concerts in various locations in South Korea after the show’s finale on October 26, 2021.

Mnet’s ‘Swoopa’ controversies

The Mnet show was embroiled in a lot of controversy from fans over its eight episodes with enraged fans calling out the show for cultural misappropriation by using the Islamic Adhan as music in a performance, fans calling the editors out for painting contestants negatively due to their evil editing and fans claiming the title of ‘Street Woman Fighter’ would be futile for winning contestants as there was no prize money for the final winner of the show.

As they say, any publicity is good publicity and the show has been running very well. ‘Street Woman Fighter’ has announced its live on-stage concert for fans to watch in person and enjoy. The concert titled ‘Street Woman Fighter ON THE STAGE’ will take place in six locations across South Korea.

The locations for the concerts are Seoul, followed by cities like Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, Changwon and Incheon. The concerts will start on November 20 and go on till December 25. The schedule for the concert has been announced as well.

The first concert will be held in Seoul on November 20 followed by the Busan concert on November 27. The third concert will be held on December 4 at Gwangju followed by the Daegu concert on December 12. The final two concerts will be held on December 18 at Changwon and finally in Incheon on December 25.

Tickets for Seoul sell out in 1 minute

As tickets for the concerts started sale on October 22, there was much question on whether fans of the show would show up at the concerts due to the critical response to the show. The sale of tickets proved all suspecting fans wrong with the tickets for the first concert in Seoul selling out within one minute of opening.

The tickets for the Seoul concert were put on sale at 2 pm KST (1 am ET) on October 22 and were sold out in a minute proving the audience’s craziness with regards to the show. All six locations of the show will feature all of the eight crews from the show.

It has been reported that the eight crews of 'Street Woman Fighter' are preparing a special stage that will be intense as well as memorable for fans who will watch live as the intricacies of the performance are lost while they are watched on TV during a broadcast.
