The viral video of Mississippi State's Mike Leach's halftime interview has prompted fans to praise him on social media

STARKVILLE, MISSISSIPPI: A video of Mississippi State's Mike Leach's halftime interview has gone viral, prompting fans to praise him on social media. ESPN's Molly McGrath approached the coach as the Bulldogs headed in for the locker room down just five points to No 1 Georgia at half. She caught up with Leach to ask him his reaction to certain calls that went against State in the first two quarters.

"Whats your reaction?" Leach asked the sideline reporter. "You're watching the same game I am. I think you oughta comment on it positive or negatively... whatever's running through your mind," he said.

Leach is the head coach at Mississippi State University. He is a two-time national coach of the year, and three-time conference coach of the year. He is also the mastermind behind the NCAA record-setting 'Air Raid' offense. In the past, Leach had been the head coach at Texas Tech University from 2000 to 2009. This is where he became the winningest coach in school history. From 2012 to 2019, he recorded the third-most wins of any coach in school history at Washington State University.

Georgia football remained perfect after a 45-19 win Saturday, November 12, at Mississippi State. Georgia clinched the SEC East title and it is set to face LSU in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 3. 

Leach's halftime interview has impressed fans on social media. "He needs his own documentary or series," one user wrote. "That Mike Leach halftime interview was incredible," wrote one user. "Can we just get an hourlong show where sideline reporters have to walk alongside Mike Leach while he answers rapid-fire questions? I’d watch the hell out of that show," wrote one user, while another said, "I don’t think I’d want him as my coach but I’m glad he’s got a microphone in front of him".

"I'm a Dawgs fan but I always loved this coach. Lol," one user wrote, while another said, "Mike Leach is priceless". One user said, "Man is funny. Good that he’s in the SEC".
