A Florida teen disappeared after reportedly confiding in her friend that she was being followed on her way to school. Saige Stiles did not show up at school in Port St. Lucie on Monday morning, April 11, although she called her friend and told her she was on her way, authorities said. The friend called 911 and reported that Stiles had claimed someone was stalking her. Then around 5:30 pm police reported that Stiles was found safe and is now with a police department detective.

Police had arrived at the location provided by Stiles' friend, and found the teen's cell phone and backpack on the sidewalk in the morning. Checking surveillance footage, cops found a video of Stiles walking behind some houses at about 7:30 am. “[The teen] did not appear to be in any immediate danger or distress at the time,” police said. Cops had said that both Stiles' friend and father are cooperating with the investigation. “This is still a fluid situation and we are actively searching the area and attempting to find Saige,” police said.

"Saige was safely located in the 100-BLK of SW Paar Dr by Michael, a member of the Florida's Treasure Coast Guardian Angels Chapter who was in the area searching for her. Saige is in good health and with PSLPD Detectives now. Big thanks to Michael for locating Saige and our media partners and community for sharing this event throughout the day," the Port St. Lucie Police Department updated on Facebook.

The Florida teen's disappearance comes days after a Florida mother mysteriously went missing the night after going to pick her daughter up from a custody exchange with her child's dad. Cassie Carli, 37, told her father she was going to meet her ex at Navarre Beach and later texted him saying she was having trouble with her car and that her phone battery was running low. She was last seen on Sunday, March 27, evening in a parking lot behind Juana's Pagodas in Navarre Beach where she was meeting her ex, Marcus Spanevelo. Carli's body was later found buried in a shallow grave inside a barn in Springville, Alabama. Spanevelo, 34, was subsequently arrested in Lebanon, Tennessee, and charged with evidence tampering, destruction of evidence, and supplying false information about a missing person in relation to Cassie’s disappearance.

In another incident, the body of Naomi Christine Irion, 18, was found in a remote part of Nevada on Tuesday, March 29, over two weeks after she was abducted outside of Reno. Following up on a tip regarding Naomi's disappearance, sheriffs arrived at a possible gravesite in Churchill County, where they found a body. On Wednesday, March 30, the human remains “were confirmed as those of Naomi Irion,” the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office said.

Later, a joint statement revealed that the Churchill County and Lyon County sheriff’s offices are investigating the death of Naomi Irion as a homicide. Her abductor, Troy Driver, 41, of Fallon, has been charged for fatally shooting the teen. Irion was last seen at a Walmart parking lot in Fernley, where a stranger got into her car, took the wheel, and drove off. There was an active effort to find her, being led by the Lyon County Sheriff's Office in Nevada. Security footage showed her sitting in her 1992 Mercury Sable when Driver approached her and motioned her to slide into the passenger seat. He then took the wheel and drove off. CCTV footage from the fateful day showed her at a store, dressed in a blue Panasonic top with a grey coat.
