Milanka Ljubicic: Ana Walshe’s mom defends son-in-law Brian, says he saved her life during a stroke
BELGRADE, SERBIA: The mother of Ana Walshe, a Massachusetts woman who has gone missing, reportedly took her son-in-law, Brian's side despite cops' suspicion. Speaking from her home city Belgrade in Serbia, Milanka Ljubicic said that Brian's immediate action saved her life after she had a stroke over a year ago.
Ljubicic told Daily Mail, “I had a very bad pain in my head and I started bleeding from my mouth and nose. I was crying for help. He heard me. He called my daughter and drove me to the hospital. I can say he saved my life then and that is why I can't believe he is responsible – I just can't believe it.” At the time of the health emergency in November 2021, the elderly woman was reportedly in Cohasset, Massachusetts, at her daughter’s home, but Walshe was in Washington, DC, at that time because of her work.

Ljubicic said that though Walshe had never said anything bad about Brian, there were some issues going on in her life. Since the mother of three had to spend more time in DC due to her work commitments, she was not able to be for her family all the time. “She was upset because she was traveling but she didn't blame him,” Ljubicic reportedly said.
Ljubicic continued, stating that cops searched Walshe's Washington house too but did not find anything crucial. She told the publication, "They said there was nothing in that house. They said they searched the whole house. I half-think they did that and half-think they did not. My only wish is that my daughter is still alive. And I have only one message for her. 'Ana, call me. Call me, Ana, please, if you are alive.' And that is the question. Is she alive?"
Meanwhile, the identity of a friend who spent time with Walshe and Brian on New Year’s eve has now been revealed. His name is Gem Mutlu, and he spoke with WBZ-TV regarding the case. He reportedly said, “We hugged and celebrated and we toasted just what you do over new year's. There was a lot of looking forward to the new year. There was no indication of anything other than celebrating the new year, problems on hold.”
Speaking of Walshe, Mutlu said, “She was texting with friends. She was sitting next to me at the barstool at their kitchen. There was absolutely no indication that any modicum of a tragedy, of disappearance, or anything else could have happened that night,” adding, “Both Ana and Brian have been individually and together very impactful on my life. A part of me had this suspicion all along that there may have been foul play and that somehow just the story just wasn't adding up.”
A lot of people on social media have been sharing their own theories regarding the case as most of them believe Brian is guilty. A user wrote on Facebook, “So sad, such a beautiful woman, mother, daughter, wife, friend who is missing because of her lowlife husband…. I pray for her 3 little boys that someone in her family adopts them and gives them a loving home…!!” Another one said, “So sad. To think they Celebrated NYE with neighbors and he made a Elaborate Dinner the neighbor said. Everyone was happy. So Bizarre..” A third one wrote, “He better not say he doesn’t Remember much about it all and Or try to plead insanity. That he simply blanked out. How can he do this to his wife and his 3 kids? How did he get away with ending a life .just awful.”
A comment read, “Thank God their children weren’t harmed. So young. My heart breaks for them. Thank God they are safe. K9’s and all emergency personnel I’m sure are working so hard on this case,” while another comment added, “There's definitely something wrong with this guy did you see the smirk on his face when he came out of the police station.”
